JAMES GRAHAM
Driven by a passion for leading transformational change with his clients and team, James Graham founded Richtr Financial Studio.
After growing up and working in the Chicago area, James earned a degree in Accounting from Northern Illinois University. Later, he rounded his experience with research and a degree in Psychology (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Colorado. He is a CPA (CO & CA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
He began his career in public accounting in Chicago (Laventhol & Horwath) and Denver (Deloitte), which included leading audit fieldwork on Fortune 500 engagements. He managed a 10-person CPA firm in Denver that specialized in small businesses, where the inspirational seeds that eventually led to the formation of Richtr Financial Studio were planted.
James has worked in a variety of CFO and Finance capacities, and has also led operations for two public accounting firms.
In conjunction with this, he has gained wide-ranging experience working with creative-, technology-, SaaS-, and professional service-based companies.
James is a co-founder of CodeCraft School of Technology, a coding bootcamp that empowers students with new careers in technology by offering cutting-edge training in coding and design.
James supports the community as a board member and advisor of Pledge 1% Colorado, a network of entrepreneurs sharing a common commitment to giving back to their communities. He also serves on the executive committee as treasurer and board member of The Community Foundation.
In San Diego, James served as an advisory board member of Cloud9 Real Time, which is an award-winning cloud computing solution provider. He served as treasurer on the board of the Boulder Buff Club, and is also involved with a variety of other community and trade organizations, such as the American Marketing Association and AICPA.
MAILEEN FLORES
In beautiful San Diego, California, Richtr operations are led by Maileen Flores. As a native of San Diego, Maileen began her university education as an engineer. During her early undergrad years, Maileen worked as a bookkeeper, and enjoyed helping businesses understand their finances. Through this work, she realized her passion for business finances, which led her to pivot to a degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from San Diego State University.
As a CPA (CA & CO) and Sr. Business Strategist, Maileen brings her enthusiasm and experience to a growing mecca for creative and tech businesses in San Diego and beyond. Maileen’s background in business finances comes from her work in several different industries, including logistics, engineering, and restaurants; along with Richtr’s specialization in technology, creative, and service-based businesses.
Maileen regularly supports the tech, life science, and creative communities in the region. She has served the community in various roles, including as Treasurer/Board Member of One Club San Diego,
Design Forward Alliance, AMA San Diego, and AIGA San Diego. She was also a recent speaker at San Diego Start Up Week, helping startups learn practical ways for successful growth and is currently an active member of Biocom.
Ania Camplin
Ania Camplin is a Colorado CPA and Partner of Richtr Financial Studio who has been with the firm for over 15 years as a Senior Business Strategist. She specializes in helping rapid growth innovation-based businesses reach their fullest potential by navigating a safe and scalable path through challenges and opportunities, efficiently growing the company and reaching milestones.
She earned her master’s degree in mathematics at the University of Lodz (Poland) and has an educational background in accounting and philosophy. In 2020 at the height of the pandemic, one of Ania’s clients credited her with helping them achieve 155% growth in the first six months of working together.
Ania’s coordination and mentorship has played a big part in Richtr Financial Studio’s sustained growth. She closely collaborates with client leadership teams and mentors team members as they support the growth of innovative companies.
Ania has provided part-time CFO services to hundreds of innovation-based clients in the U.S. and has played a pivotal role in supporting our international clients grow and scale their finance and business operations for more than 15 years.
As a fluent trilingual in English, Polish, and French, Ania is also involved in multiple language and cultural groups in the Boulder, Colorado area, which she meets with regularly. Her involvement in these groups helps facilitate a sense of belonging for foreign speakers, so they feel welcomed in the Boulder community. She also volunteers as a 7th grade teacher at Polish School in Denver, teaching Polish language and history.
In her spare time, Ania enjoys spending time with her family, getting outdoors for a hike or ski adventure, practicing yoga, reading, and learning new languages.
