Driven by a passion for leading transformational change with his clients and team, James Graham founded Richtr Financial Studio.

After growing up and working in the Chicago area, James earned a degree in Accounting from Northern Illinois University. Later, he rounded his experience with research and a degree in Psychology (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Colorado.  He is a CPA (CO & CA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

He began his career in public accounting in Chicago (Laventhol & Horwath) and Denver (Deloitte), which included leading audit fieldwork on Fortune 500 engagements. He managed a 10-person CPA firm in Denver that specialized in small businesses, where the inspirational seeds that eventually led to the formation of Richtr Financial Studio were planted.

James has worked in a variety of CFO and Finance capacities, and has also led operations for two public accounting firms.

Maileen Flores, CPA is a Partner at Richtr Financial Studio leading our San Diego team, and where she delivers outsourced CFO and accounting services to high-growth companies in life sciences, technology, aerospace & defense, and other innovation-driven sectors. She specializes in working with both dilutive and non-dilutive funded companies, guiding them through GAAP compliance, audit readiness, and government grant and contract accounting. Maileen helps founders and executives build the financial infrastructure needed for scale, capital readiness, and long-term success.

Her career includes serving as CFO for multiple venture-backed companies, where she supported Seed through Series B funding rounds, debt financing, SBIR/STTR grant management, and cost-reimbursable contract compliance. She is recognized for bridging strategic finance with operational execution, helping companies position for capital and strategically implement funding plans.

Beyond her client work, Maileen is an active mentor and leader in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. She advises early-stage founders through University of California San Diego’s (UCSD) Office of Innovation and Commercialization, San Diego State University’s (SDSU) Zip Launchpad, EvoNexus, Innosphere Ventures, CU Innovations Anshutz Medial Campus, University of Colorado Boulder Innovation & Entrepreneurship, California Life Sciences FAST Advisory Program, and other incubators and accelerators. Her mentorship equips entrepreneurs to prepare for fundraising by navigating capital readiness, educating on how to build investor-ready pro-formas, and managing use of funds effectively as they scale their businesses. Maileen is also founding member of BLPN (formerly Bullpen) and a founding board member of Design Forward Alliance.

Maileen is a licensed CPA in California and Colorado. She also contributes to governance and capital development efforts through board and committee service. Her mission is to empower founders with clarity, confidence, and practical tools to make high-impact decisions and pursue ambitious growth.

Ania Camplin is a Colorado CPA and Partner of Richtr Financial Studio who has been with the firm for over 15 years as a Senior Business Strategist. She specializes in helping rapid growth innovation-based businesses reach their fullest potential by navigating a safe and scalable path through challenges and opportunities, efficiently growing the company and reaching milestones.

She earned her master’s degree in mathematics at the University of Lodz (Poland) and has an educational background in accounting and philosophy. In 2020 at the height of the pandemic, one of Ania’s clients credited her with helping them achieve 155% growth in the first six months of working together.

Ania’s coordination and mentorship has played a big part in Richtr Financial Studio’s sustained growth. She closely collaborates with client leadership teams and mentors team members as they support the growth of innovative companies.
